Minipi Lake 2007

Dear 2007 Minipi Lodge anglers,

Remember Shackleton’s early 20th century arctic expeditions? Remember how he got stuck in the ice and had to “overwinter” there? Well, that’s what’s happened to the 2007 Minipi logbook. It is overwintering at Minipi Lodge. Actually it is on the table in the guides’ cabin. That’s right. On the last fly-out before winter closed in, the guides forgot to pick it up and pack it out. But have no fear. The cabin is snug. The logbook will suffer no harm...although the guides will each get two demerits.

So, please adopt the patience of a Shackleton and be of good cheer for when spring comes it will be retrieved, flown back to Goose Bay and all that precious information on your 2007 trophy fish caught in Minipi Lake will be entered and displayed right here for all to see.

Until that time, your friends, family and fellow anglers will just have to take your word about those monster brookies that didn't get away.
